Our story

For over 170 years, Leith Baptist Church has been a welcoming space for people in Leith and Edinburgh to encounter God, grow in faith, and build community.

Located just north of Edinburgh’s city centre at Madeira Street, Leith is one of the most vibrant and densely populated areas in Scotland—home to a rich history, a growing population, and a diverse, multicultural community. As a church rooted in the heart of Leith, we are passionate about Jesus and dedicated to sharing His love with everyone who calls this place home.

Everything we do — from our Sunday gatherings to serving our local community — flows out of five core foundations: worship, mission, prayer, scripture, and prophecy.
